Recent Esxence 2015 in Milano was the occasion to launch several interesting brands. We will cover most of them on Persefume, together with full reviews and also exclusive interviews with founders. Nowadays niche market is rapidly growing—so many novelties, newcomers, but we do believe high quality scents will always win and stand out from the crowd.

One of our discoveries was defintely Olibere Parfums from Paris- brand founded by Marjorie Olibere—renowned French arist, “audio visual globetrotter” who documented her life and worldwide travels with videos, images and documentaries. Marjorie as perfume creator wanted to translate her visual stories into fragrance and that is how Olibere Paris was born.

Marjorie Olibere about brand’s creative process

“These tales in perfumes revisit the themes that punctuated my life: love, travel and sheer chance, emotion-infused characters, magical places both nearby and distant, ordinary and remarkable situations… Each fragrance is endowed with its own story, stage and olfactory personality”
Marjorie Olibere

Olibere fragrances (there are five in total, closed in bottles inspired by super 8 camera) are described as contemporary, unique, elegant and timeless—and we do agree: both high quality ingredients and skills of perfumers are truly visible. Each fragrance is accompanied by short film depicting its story. We are happy to announce them here, exclusively on Persefume!

And the noses themselves—yes, their names are surely known by fans of niche perfumery! Iconic Bertrand Duchafour (man behind several perfumes by L’Artisan, Acqua di Parma, Penhaligon’s, Ann Gerard Parfum, Neela Vermeire Creations among others) composed three scents.
Two remaining ones are made by Amelie Bourgeois, perfumer from Flair Paris (co-founded with Anne-Sophie Behaghel) best known from her work for Mendittorosa, Parfums Volnay, Jovoy Paris, Les Liquides Imaginaires and new brand Room 1015.
