‘Miguel is a friend and an artist but even before that he is a very special person. His sensibility allowed him to understand and therefore embody Acampora’s mood and visual philosophy. Perfectly reading through the Acampora olfactive DNA, Miguel, gave us his contribution in a very outstanding way. He brought fresh and strong new energy to renovate without distorting the brand’. – Sonia Acampora, company chairman.

Beside being an old friend, Miguel is the first independent nose to take part with our brand into the creation process of new fragrances. Miguel shares the same values that the brand carries on since 1974. It has been therefore spontaneous to collaborate for the production of these two new collections. We look forward to sharing our work and passion with you soon!’ – Brunello Acampora

Let us reveal notes and inspiration for both collections starting from Acampora 54:

A collection that is also an invite to dance with your senses and more. The energy and dynamism of Studio 54 resonate amazingly with Acampora DNA and translate into perfectly imperfect fragrances you will be addicted to. Pure joy and extravaganza.

Acampora 54 gets its mood from the famous ballroom Studio 54, beating heart of New York’s nightlife during the 70s. The place and the moment to be and live the magic while remembering a liberating ’68 and setting that creative excitement that will explode during the unforgettable ‘80s. A collection that challenges the brand communication rules with elegant yet provocative style. Everybody should feel free to show its own personality, this is the campaign concept that’s openly gender fluid and free from narrow-minded point of view. Marking the breaking point, Acampora 54 is here to twist the present with Robin, Young Hearts, Freak Chic, Relight My Fire, Read My Mind and Keep On Dancing*.

*Note: Also Bruno, the iconic Essence from 2014 has been added to this Collection.

Rafael Mauricio for Bruno Acampora

It could be none but Bruno the leading fragrance of this eccentric collection: the most precious of the Oud, a tribute to the multifaceted personality of the founder of the Maison. Here is a fragrance with a fluid soul able to seduce everyone thanks to the citrus notes and the floral triumph in the heart. A timeless classic that gives a feeling of freshness and lightness.

Notes: Grapefruit, cut grass, rose, saffron, cedarwood, amber, musk, sandalwood, patchouli, oud, resins.

Robin is the memory of a dancing spree, the feeling of happiness that comes from partying without any regrets. The scent is an extravagant and unusual combination of aldehydes with a floriental composition where tuberose plays the dominant part in the floral bouquet, along with its dancing pair, incense. To sweeten it all up, there is a good scoop of vanilla and coconut in the base, which rounds the perfume while creating a connection with the other fruits on top. The result is an emotional and dynamic fragrance that has an ever evolving movement.

Notes: Aldehydes, anise, black cherry, cassis, mandarin, almond, tuberose, ylang ylang, jasmine, iris, incense, musk, vanilla, cedarwood, tobacco, coconut.

Dewy, fresh, green and peculiar, Young Hearts follows a different rhythm everytime you try it. The opening is woody and green, fresh and very natural with the invigorating notes of bergamot, galbanum, birch and pine. A cold breeze is brought by saffron, which imparts also a leathery impression. The heart elongates the foresty smell of pine with fir balsam, along with a rather abstract floral arrangement. To make it grounded, there is a chypre accord that keeps the beat cool, with a timeless signature.

Notes: Bergamot, galbanum, birch leaf, pine, saffron, jasmine, fir balsam, rose, oakmoss, patchouli, musk, amber.

An opulent floral chypre that has seduction as its main purpose. A spiced up rose, made intense and unapologetic. There is energy and life pulsating with fruit accords of apple, bergamot, passion fruit, mandarin and raspberry, spiced and refreshed with the zing of ginger. The full-bodied character of the scent is reinforced by the strength of woods and the sexy animalic tones of warm musks and honeyed beeswax. Freak Chic is a vibrant, never-stopping rosy anthem with elegance in its core.

Notes: Apple, ginger, bergamot, passion fruit, mandarin, jasmine, rose, chamomile, musk, teak, patchouli, ebony, cedar moss, raspberry, beeswax.

Miguel Matos for Bruno Acampora

A memory from the past invades the dancefloor. A contrast of sweet and bitter, fresh and deep. Relight my Fire alludes to rich classic perfumes with its resinous-floral-aldehyde structure. Captivating, intense and dark, it bursts like champagne bubbles, along with green bracing notes of galbanum and the freshness of bergamot, coriander and juniper. This masculine opening turns into a more feminine heart made of classic florals and the clashing contrast of balsam fir. The base is animalic and warm, with a dominant peru resinoid note, heatened by leather, vanilla and musk.

Notes: Aldehydes, bergamot, coriander, juniper, galbanum, jasmine, mimosa, geranium, violet, fir balsam, musk, peru resinoid, vanilla, animalic notes, leather.

Musky and warm, Read my Mind is a seductive combination of fruity, spicy and carnal elements, where pomegranate and saffron are the lead dancers. The fragrance is particularly juicy, due to the zests of lemon and bergamot but it gets sweet with the touch of almond. The arousal of this moment is symbolized by cumin and classic florals like jasmine, ylang ylang and magnolia. Read my Mind is a seductive presence that hypnotizes with the strong and reassuring embrace of woody notes like ebony, patchouli, sandalwood and teak. Deep and complex, but easy to follow.

Notes: Almond, saffron, pomegranate, lemon, bergamot, jasmine, iris, ylang ylang, magnolia, cumin, musk, leather, ebony, patchouli, sandalwood, teak.

Greedy and dark, Keep On Dancing is, above all, a scent of addiction and energy. Chocolate, coffee absolute, tea, rum and tobacco generate this energy that is softened by its gourmand notes of vanilla and woody tones to keep the room under control. The contrast to these notes is a feature given by lime and lemon. But the base brings it back to darker corners of the ballroom where seduction takes place with tonka bean, vanilla, musk and leather. Under dimmed disco lights, the dance can never stop after all these addictive notes have been smelled.

Notes: Lemon, lime, rum, chamomile, woody notes, coffee, chocolate, tobacco, cashmeran, tonka bean, musk, vanilla, leather, patchouli, vetiver, mate.

The second, more classic collection of Miguel Matos for Bruno Acampora is Tadema consisting of three creations:

A collection to celebrate the splendor of Pompeii and the Mediterranean with its paintings and unique perfumes. A journey of the senses and imaginary to evoke a multisensory pleasure.

Tadema Collection, whose name is a cameo to the artist, has its roots in Pompeii. It’s an olfactory journey throughout fabulous sunny villas and ancient roman paintings that are depicted in Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema artworks. The most neoclassical tribute to the values of the Mediterranean Sea: Mentuccia Romana, Citrea Prochyta and Malum.

The Mediterranean coast is a paradise for the lovers of aromatic herbs, and some of them are very special, like pennyroyal, or mentuccia romana, a very special kind of mint that is softer and more floral, with refreshing and calming properties. Here, it comes balanced with basil, lavender and citrusy tones of lemon zest and bergamot. The coolness is preserved in time with a woody-mossy base. Perfect to soothe and calm down your senses.

Notes: Lemon, basil, bergamot, pennyroyal, lavender, litsea cubeba, cedar moss, musk, woody notes.

Classic with a twist, Citrea Prochyta could is a vintage-style refreshing cologne made with the best lemons found in the idyllic island of Procida. The heart brings energy with aromatic notes of rosemary. But this lemonade is not that simple and it comes with the deep tones of a chypre base, with woody, mossy and soft animalic undertones. Invigorating and inspiring, this is a fresh citrus scent with an unexpected and longlasting finishing touch.

Notes: Lemon, bergamot, mandarin, neroli, rosemary, oakmoss, white musk, animalic notes, coumarin

The juiciest apples picked from the orchards by the Mediterranean coast make us smile with their sweet scent and nourishing flavour. In Malum, a profusion of apple juice is tuened deeper with spicy tones of ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and anise. The freshness is ensured and contrasted with marine notes and green floral nuances of lily of the valley. An oriental base rich in tonka bean, vanilla and woody notes makes Malum finish in a deep, sensual tone.

Notes: Apple, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, marine notes, lily of the valley, fennel, anise, tonka bean, musk, patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla.
